Gal Gadot has landed one of the female leads in the untitled “Batman vs. Superman” movie. More to come…
Trailer for Justice League War: The New 52 Arrives in the DCAU
The new 52 started with the Justice League just meeting each other for the first time and teaming up to save the world against Darkseid. The upcoming Justice League War animated movie is based on the first arc of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s rejittering of the JL. As was seen in stills Wonder Woman once again gets a new costume without a bustier. I quite like it. I could still do without her sword play.
LOL, casually blocks omega beam.
We’re not really feeling Wonder Woman’s new outfit.
Rainfall has just banged out a very impressive Wonder Woman short. Pay attention, DC. This is how it’s done.
New Wonder Woman short launching this September.
OH. HELL. YES.
It looks PERFECT.
Someone hold my fuckin’ flower.
It seems you’re forgetting the times Wonder Woman has taken down Superman and Batman.
Or the time the entire League was being handily defeated by an Amazo - and then Vixen beat it with one hit.
Or the time Black Canary lead the entire Justice League.
Or the time Power Girl lead the entire Justice Society.
Or all the times young women have decided to become heroes - despite being told not to.
But that’s just me.
I’d like it if this could spread, please. It made me mad and I want things to change by people acquiring new information.
The fact that DC’s next animated film after Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox was going to be Justice League: War is no surprise. The title has been floating around the interwebs for quite some time now. But finally we have some details as to what War will be all about.
Justice League: War will be based on Origin, the first New 52 Justice League arc by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. Origin tells the story of how the Justice League first banded together to fight Darkseid and his armies. In the comic book world, with Geoff John’s Flashpoint being the cause of DC’s New 52 and Origin being the first arc to debut, we have to wonder if Warner Bros/DC will begin to have their animated films connect in an overall animated universe. It would make sense since this is being released after The Flashpoint Paradox.
Two voice actors have already been revealed for Justice League: War and they are Jason O’Mara (Vegas) as Batman and Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds) as Cyborg.
That’s all the news on that front so far. With San Diego Comic Con right around the corner I’m sure there will e more news on Justice League: War coming up. We’ll keep you posted.
UPDATE: World’s Finest Online reports Michelle Monaghan (Source Code) will be voicing Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty) will voice The Flash, Alan Tudyk (Firefly) will voice Superman, and Justin Kirk (Weeds) will voice Green Lantern. Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Parts 1 & 2) will be directing.
Watch it. Let us know what you think.

The cast and character designs for Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
How awesome is it that Tim Daly’s son is taking on the role of Superman?
I think the B in Michael B. Jordan stands for “Best part of Chronicle”.
We thought Kevin Conroy was doing Batman for the Flashpoint movie, but hey, Nathan Fillion.
Injustice: Gods Among Us hits PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U next week. Check out the preview on The Game Fanatics.
‘Trinity War’, the next big event in the DC Universe, will pit all three Justice League teams against each other. Beginning this July, ‘Trinity War’ will be a 6-issue story arc crossing over in Justice League, Justice League of America, and Justice League Dark, and will be co-written by Geoff Johns and Jeff Lemire. Also, Johns is promising us “It’s not going to end wrapped up in a bow,” and “Something really, really major happens that kicks off some pretty crazy stuff at the end of August.” (USAToday)
Head on over to USAToday for even more details and a few words from both Johns and Lemire about this upcoming project.
Now here’s something you don’t come across very often. Ball State University in Muncie, IN is holding a course on the study of gender roles… using comics as a guide, with the help of Comixology. The reading list includes Superman: Birthright, Captain Marvel (the Marvel Comics one, formerly known as Ms. Marvel), Wonder Woman, and Y: The Last Man.
DC Comics has announced Infinite Crisis, a Massively Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game coming to PC later this year, giving you the chance to find out who’d win in a fight between Batman and… uh… Batman.
